Jakarta Transportation Agency announced that there will be no Car Free Day activity on June 29, 2025.

to ensure the smooth implementation

The decision is taken in order to support the BTN Jakarta International Marathon 2025 that takes place at the same time.

The cancellation of Car Free Day refers to the Regulation of the Jakarta Governor Number 12/2016 Article 5 paragraph (1), which states that the implementation of Car Free Day can be cancelled if a special national or international scale activity or event is also being held at the same time, and requires special traffic arrangements and security.

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo, said the cancelation of Car Free Day is aimed to support the implementation of this international sport event.

"Jakarta Transportation Agency is committed to ensure the smooth implementation of Jakarta International Marathon 2025. In order to teh activity can run safely and orderly, all traffic arrangements and security are optimally prepared," he said, Tuesday (6/24).

He appeals the society to understand and support this international scale activities that bring Jakarta's name to the global stage.
